The latest pair of open-style earbuds to appear on my desk are the SoundPEATS GoFree2. These recently launched earbuds support the high-res LDAC codec and use Bluetooth V5.3. The earbuds include a Bass Boost feature to give more oomph, plus they are water resistant to IPX5 and ideal for working out while keeping you fully aware of your surroundings.
What makes these Soundpeats Air3 Deluxe HS buds special is that they sound surprisingly good for open earbuds -- they're pretty close to what you get from Apple's AirPods 3 for sound. On top of that, they support Sony's LDAC audio codec for devices that offer it. Not too many cheap open earbuds have good sound, but these Soundpeats have good bass response and clarity. They're also good for making calls and have a low-latency gaming mode. Battery life is rated at 5 hours at moderate volume levels, and these are IPX4
At $80, SoundPEATS’s new Space Headphones punch way above their weight, delivering a slew of great features and, most importantly, up to a whopping 123 hours of music playback per charge. In terms of raw tech specs the SoundPEATS Space checks all the right boxes. They have large, built-in 40mm dynamic drivers, giving you super-crisp, clear stereo sound and more powerful bass. We’ve tested the headphones ourselves, and their hybrid noise cancellation isn’t quite as powerful as active noise cancellation, but still does a great job at isolating unwanted sounds and preventing them from reaching your ears. But still, at 61 hours with ACN on, you won’t ever have to worry about getting caught needing a charge when you’re out and about ever again.
SoundPEATS Space are best used with ANC OFF to get the best sound, while applying our equalizer settings. They’re also comfy and surprisingly stable despite having a light clamp force. Another notable mention is the active noise cancelling, which isn’t the strongest, but it’s very consistent and great against human speech, which is something not many ANC headphones can tackle.
Overall, the SoundPEATS Space is highly recommended as a very high-quality pair of wireless headphones, with the ANC and battery life worth the price of admission alone. If you're looking for the best you can get for the least amount of money, they're well worth buying and a great way to enjoy your favorite music and games.
the Gofree2 wireless earbuds are the epitome of audio innovation. They provide a sophisticated combination of cutting-edge technology, exceptional comfort, and a wide range of capabilities that can be used in a variety of situations.
What you need to know is that the Soundpeats Air4 Pro have most of the core essentials you could want from a pair of earbuds, including multipoint connectivity for connecting two devices (and chopping and changing between the two) which again, is unexpected at this budget level.
What makes this product so enticing? Battery life. Never have we seen wireless cans this inexpensive come with 123 hours of listening time. They even boast the most powerful quick-charging technology available (more on that later). Furthermore, the Space sound and look better than their MSRP suggests.
When combined with the the Air4 Pro’s many features, a light and remarkably comfy fit, and their often shockingly low sale price, you’ve got a winning combination. You can outdo these buds by throwing down $100 or so, let alone stretching to $300 flagships, but if you find them for around $50 to $60 (where they’re priced as I write this review), grab them and run.
So if you're looking for a real AirPods Pro alternative, meaning something that doesn't go anywhere near the inside of your ears, the Soundpeats GoFree 2 is a very good choice.
